Feeding the Homeless at St John's Episcopal Church
November 21 & 22, 2008
We met at the church kitchen on Friday, Nov 21 to make lunches to take to the homeless
the menu was:
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
chips
banana
cookies
water
On Saturday we met at the church, loaded the vans, and drove to downtown Wichita to deliver the lunches.
170 hungry people were waiting for us, and for a lunch. Bill said the blessing for the food and we started serving!
The day was an awesome experience for Jr MBY, and a blessing to the served and the servers!
After all the food was distributed, we were allowed to tour the beautiful church.
